About Gary Player
Gary Player was born on 1 November 1935 in Johannesburg, South
Africa. From an early age, he showed a keen talent for the game of
golf. In 1953, Gary Player turned professional and has achieved
163 Championship wins throughout his career. His worldwide career
earnings total a massive 12-million dollars.
Dubbed the "Black Knight" because of his courageous style of
play and competitive, yet courteous demeanour, Gary Player has
become one of the world's greatest golfers to date. With the
following life mottos, it is no wonder that Gary Player has made
such a success of his golfing career.
