The Steenberg Golf course is situated on one of the Cape's oldest wine farms that dates back to 1682, the vineyards were replanted and over 70 hectares are now under vines. If you would like to take advantage of the practice areas at the Steenberg Golf club you can make use of one of the following; a driving range, a chipping area with sand traps and a large putting area.

The first six holes of the Steenberg Golf club course meander through gentle manicured grounds and on some of the holes you might find yourself teeing off on raised platform amongst the vines. The course then moves into the wetlands which includes the famous seventh hole, par-three which is testing to most golfers as the green is surrounded by water. The Steenberg Golf club then enters the Heathland section where you will come up against natural hazards such as white sands that island the fairways and you will complete your round of golf under the stately Oaks.

The course allows for Handicaps, 36 for ladies and 34 for men and handicap certificates must be presented on the day of play. It is of the utmost importance to book tee off times with the Steenberg Golf club beforehand.
